1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. We group them by purpose below, in line with the EU ePrivacy rules and the GDPR.
2. Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session security, load balancing, and consent state | No - required to deliver the service |
| Preferences | Remembering settings such as language and interface choices | No - first-party and non-tracking |
| Analytics | Privacy-respecting, aggregated usage measurement | Yes - only with your consent |
3. Your choices
On your first visit we present a consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the service cannot function without them; all other categories are off until you opt in. You can change your choices at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you block strictly necessary cookies.
4. Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last no longer than 12 months, after which you will be asked to renew any optional consent.
5. More information
For how cookie data fits into our wider data practices, see our Privacy Policy. Questions can go to dpo@matrix.eu.
